A star-studded lineup of North Carolina’s best local music acts performed on Sunday, Aug. 23 at The Red Room in Downtown Kinston. Lessette Kornegay & The Pride of Kinston hosted the concert from 1 to 9 p.m. at The Red Room.
Trainwreck, Dick Knight, Lessette & more acts took the stage during an all-day benefit concert to raise funds for a downtown revitalization project marred by storm damage & vandalism. Thirty-five portraits of African-American musicians and artists on storefront windows along Queen Street were installed as part of the Smart Kinston investment into downtown.
